Recruitment Summary

IndianOil is inviting applications from Indian Nationals who are graduates in engineering disciplines. Selected candidates will be appointed as Engineers/Officers (Grade A) in areas like Chemical, Electrical, and Instrumentation engineering.

Available Disciplines:

  3. Instrumentation Engineering

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech./BE) in relevant disciplines from an AICTE or UGC recognized institution.

✔ Minimum 65% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL categories
✔ Minimum 55% marks for SC/ST/PwBD categories
✔ Must be a full-time regular course
✔ Degree must be awarded by 31st October 2025
✔ Final results/marksheets must be available at the time of document verification

Note: Interdisciplinary degrees like Mechatronics or Robotics are not eligible unless specifically recognized.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for applicants is 26 years as of 1st July 2025. Age relaxations apply as per Government of India guidelines:

Salary

  • Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – ₹1,60,000/-
  • Initial Basic Pay: ₹50,000 per month
  • Approx Annual CTC: ₹17.7 LPA (including allowances, DA, PRP, HRA, Medical, PF, Gratuity, etc.)

  • General / OBC / EWS: ₹500 + GST
  • SC / ST / PwBD: Exempted

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in three major stages:

1️⃣ Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Objective questions with a total of 100 questions
  • Duration: 150 minutes
  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer

Sections:

  • Domain Knowledge – 50 Questions
  • General Aptitude – 50 Questions (Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English Verbal Ability)

Minimum qualifying marks are applied category-wise.

2️⃣ Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT)

Shortlisted candidates will undergo group exercises to assess teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

3️⃣ Personal Interview (PI)

Final selection is based on technical expertise, personality, and leadership potential.

Application Process – Step by Step

Step 1 – Register Online

Visit the official portal at www.iocl.com and register with valid details including a personal email ID and phone number.

Step 2 – Upload Documents

You will need to upload the following scanned documents:
✔ Photograph (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm, 20kb–50kb)
✔ Signature (140 × 60 pixels, 10kb–20kb)
✔ Left thumb impression (240 × 240 pixels, 20kb–50kb)

Step 3 – Application Fee

  • ₹500 + applicable GST for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories
  • SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted

Payment can be made using Debit/Credit cards, Internet Banking, UPI, and other digital methods.

Step 4 – Submit Application

Verify all details carefully. Once submitted, no corrections will be allowed.

Step 5 – Download Admit Card

Admit cards will be available online approximately 10 days before the exam.
