Vacancy Details
A total of 81 vacancies have been announced for the post of X-Ray Technician, distributed across various categories as per Gujarat government norms. Reservation is applicable for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Women, PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized university.
- Must have completed an X-Ray Technician Course conducted by a Government Institute or a Medical College recognized by the National Medical Council.
- Basic knowledge of Computer Applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 36 years (as on last date of application)
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories, women candidates, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen as per rules.
Salary & Pay Scale
- For the first 5 years, selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹40,800/-.
- After successful completion of five years, candidates will be placed in the 7th Pay Commission Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- (Level-6) along with other allowances
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a Competitive Written Examination (MCQ Based).
Exam Pattern:
Part A (60 Marks):
- Reasoning Ability & Data Interpretation – 30 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 30 Marks
Part B (150 Marks):
- Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30 Marks
- Subject Related (X-Ray Technology & Applications) – 120 Marks
- Total Questions: 210
- Duration: 180 Minutes (3 Hours)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
Candidates must secure at least 40% qualifying marks in both Part A and Part B to be considered for merit list preparation
